Current India Visa Procedure - New Update 31March2022
The 30days tourist visas will now be discontinued from 31March2022.
According to a update from VFS. Normal Tourists visa will be issued from 01April2022. The shortest length of visa is up to 1year for single or multiple entry. cost starting from £205.00 including all visa fees and our charges.
During the Pandemic India stopped nearly all entry for tourists into India. All previous visas (Paper sticker or Evisa) issued before 06 October 2021 were suspended and could not be used to travel into India.
They however did open up travel for persons holding OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) and PIO (Person of India Origin) booklets. These booklets are however only issued to people of Indian origin through either birth or heritage.
However, since 15 November 2021 India opened up the procedure of visa issuance of paper sticker only for tourists. The Evisa for British passport holders still has not commenced. The new sticker visa is issued in your passport and is valid for 30days and must be utilized within 120 days and commencing from the date of entry into India for the 30days period.
Applying for the present visa is a timely matter, mainly being that you will need to make a trip to the local VFS Centre to submit all your documents. To obtain the visa you need to fill in an application form, book an appointment (which does take some time in getting, but getting better). Once you have these you would need to take all the documentation to the centre to submit. Taking the right documentation is the crucially part, along with filling in the application form with the correct details. If children are traveling then again different paperwork is required and letters signed by both parents.
All of this can be time-consuming and if you don't have the correct paperwork then you might find having to come home again and start all over.
The present cost for the 30days tourist visa is £85.00 this includes all Embassy/Agency fees and including our fees (which includes obtaining appointments, filling out the application form, and making sure we have all the correct paperwork to accompany your application and submitting the application).
